If you find yourself craving a refreshing drink on a hot summer day, I have the perfect solution for you! A delicious Hibiscus Iced Tea recipe that will completely transform your favorite drink into something truly extraordinary.

Bursting with flavor, this drink is not only satisfying but also filled with health benefits. You can easily make this mouth-watering tea right in your own home! So grab a glass, sit back, and get ready to quench your thirst and impress your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • Hibiscus: dried hibiscus flower, “Karkade,” the Arabic name for hibiscus.
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Lemon: A touch of citrus will transform this iced tea to the next level.
  • Ginger: Fresh ginger slice is added for a boost in flavor and health benefit
  • Maple syrup, or any sweetener of choice, can be used.
  • Rose water is optional, but highly recommended to add it; it will further enhance the flavor of this delicious hibiscus iced tea
  • Water to prepare the tea concentrate
  • Sparkling water
  • Ice cubes

How to make Hibiscus Iced Tea:

  • Add hibiscus dried flowers to a French press or any glass jar.
  • Next, add cinnamon stick, rose water, maple syrup, lemon slices, and ginger slices.
  • Pour the water and place the French press cover or the jar lid.
  • Let it steep in water for 3 to 4 hours. This will be the tea concentrate.
  • Strain the tea into a glass. Fill about 1/4 of the glass, then add sparkling water to fill the rest of the glass.
  • Add ice cubes, and the iced tea is ready to be served.

Storing leftovers:

The hibiscus tea concentrate can last up to 4-5 days in the refrigerator. Dilute it with sparkling water, add ice cubes, and it’s ready.

Hibiscus Iced Tea Benefits:

Hibiscus tea is known for its antioxidant properties, which can help protect your cells from damage. It may also help lower blood pressure and improve heart health. Additionally, hibiscus tea is a good source of Vitamin C, which can boost your immune system and promote healthy skin. Especially, this method of preparing hibiscus tea (cold brew) will preserve the vitamin C benefits.
